Meeting invitations arrive in your mail Inbox and also display in your calendar in the Meeting Notices view. The meeting invitation may request a response from you, or it may be a broadcast invitation that requires no response.
In your Inbox, open the invitation, and then respond using any of the tasks in the table below.

Determine if you are free

Click Check Calendar.

Accept the invitation
|
Click Accept, and then click Accept or Accept with Comments. Add comments if applicable.

Pencil in the meeting, but keep your time free
|
Click Accept, and then click Tentatively Accept. The meeting is added to your calendar, but the time in your schedule appears free to others.

Delegate the invitation to someone else
|
Click Decline, and then select Delegate. Select a name from the list and optionally add comments.
Sends the meeting invitation to your delegate; sends a decline and delegate message to the chair.

Propose a new date or time
|
Click Decline, and then select Propose New Time, and then select a new date and time. Optionally, check Include additional comments on notice.

Decline the invitation
|
Click Decline, and then click Decline or Decline with Comments. Add comments if applicable.

You should process invitations in the order you receive them. Processing invitations out of order may result in missing or incorrect information.
After you respond to a meeting invitation, it no longer appears in your Meeting Notices view.
You can set a Calendar > Display preference so that invitations are automatically removed from your Inbox after you answer them.
