To prevent an inline image from displaying in a message
You can set a user preference so that remote images do not display automatically when reading mail. A remote image is an image that is referenced, rather than embedded. Use the following steps to set the Image Security preference:
- Click Preferences
- Click the plus sign next to Mail, and then click Display.
- Under Image Security, select the option Do not show remote images without permission.
To view the image when reading a message that includes an embedded image, click Show Images.
